Neighborhood Izakaya – Osaki / Gotanda, Tokyo

About Akariya

Akariya (灯屋) is a neighborhood-style Japanese izakaya located in the Osaki / Gotanda area of Tokyo. The name “Akariya” represents a warm light – a place where people gather after work to enjoy good food, drinks, and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. Our goal is to create a welcoming space for both the local community and visitors, where everyone can feel comfortable returning again and again.

The Idea Behind Akariya

Traditional Japanese izakayas have long served as gathering place for friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Akariya aims to carry that spirit into the Osaki and Gotanda area – offering a comfortable setting where people can relax, share meals, and enjoy a good company. Rather than being a formal restaurant, Akariya is meant to feel like a familiar local spot that guests can return to again and again.
